Biography

Daniel Iberi is a Strategic Communications Specialist with more than 10 years of experience in the field of communication as a consultant, trainer, and academic. Iberi’s proficiency lies in designing and implementing communication strategies, crafting impactful narratives, writing and editing, training, managing digital communication channels, overseeing websites, and coordinating projects. Iberi holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Education (English) from Kenyatta University. He also holds various certifications in the fields of communication, media and conflict, development, and security. Prior to his current role, he was the Associate Director, Communications and Outreach at the HORN International Institute for Strategic Studies. In this role, he worked closely with local and international organizations including UNDP, USAID, IGAD, African Union (AU), KESHO Alliance, International Peace Support Training Center (IPSTC), Geneva Center for Africa and Security Studies, Center for Sustainable Resolutions (CSCR), Building Resilience Against Violent Extremism (BRAVE), among others. He has also worked as a communications consultant and trainer with UNICEF, World Vision, Concern Worldwide, International Medical Corps, and Save the Children.
