Biography

Saeed Salahudeen is a lawyer and chartered accountant, who currently serves as a senior finance manager at Afrobarometer and manages the Africa Judicial Independence Fund.

With a comprehensive skill set spanning tax law, economics, finance, and accounting, Saeed brings a multifaceted perspective to his role. Prior to joining Afrobarometer, he was finance manager at West Hills Mall Limited, the largest shopping mall in West Africa. He also held positions at the Rainforest Alliance in New York and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Ghana.

Saeed is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and the Ghana Bar Association. He holds an MBA in Finance and a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), as well as a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Admiration (GIMPA). His expertise extends to diverse areas within tax law and policy, and he actively engages in research on comparative taxation, tax and development, and taxation dynamics within small businesses and the shadow economy.
