Lawrence Kotey Djanie

Biography

Lawrence is the Information Technology Projects Manager for Afrobarometer. He is directly responsible for all IT projects within the organization. He works with the various business units to develop innovative solutions for Afrobarometer.

Prior to joining Afrobarometer in May, 2022, Lawrence worked with Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited (CBG) as Supervisor for Digital Payments in their Electronic Banking Department. He oversaw the successful deployment of various digital payment solutions for CBG including their award winning USSD service CBGMobile. Before CBG, he worked with erstwhile Unibank Ghana as Electronic Banking Projects Manager.

He is an experienced Projects manager who has over the years worked on several major IT projects in Ghana including GhanaPay, E-levy Implementation, Ghana National Health Capitation Project, Voter Management System and Biometric Voter Verification.

Lawrence has a MScIT from Sikkim Manipal University, India. He is also a product of the University of Ghana graduating with a BA in Information Studies and Geography.
