Afrobarometer Director Gyimah-Boadi honoured with MLK Award for Peace and Social Justice

One of the co-founders of Afrobarometer, Professor Gyimah-Boadi is also the executive director of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development. He is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Ghana, Legon and holds a PhD from the University of California, Davis.

Prof Gyimah-Boadi has authored articles in the Journal of Democracy and UNU-WIDER. He is co-author of Public Opinion, Democracy and Market Reform in Africa, Cambridge University Press (2005).

Prof Gyimah-Boadi is chair of the National Council of Persons with Disability. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of the Ibrahim Index of African Governance.

Prof Gyimah- Boadi received the MLK Award for advancing democracy, good governance, and economic opportunity.
