The Afrobarometer National Partner in Malawi, the Centre for Social Research, interviewed a nationally representative, random, stratified probability sample of 2,400 adult Malawians from 24 March to 5 April 2014. A sample of this size yields results with a margin of error of +/-2% at a 95% confidence level. Previous surveys have been conducted in Malawi in 1999, 2003, 2005, 2008, and 2012. The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation provided technical backstopping for the survey.
