Wilford Molefe

Wilford Molefe is the co-national investigator for Botswana.

Biography

Dr Wilford Molefe is Statistician by profession and a trained survey research methodology specialist. He is currently a senior lecturer and head of the Department of the Statistics at the University of Botswana, an active researcher whose primary research interest lies in sample survey methodology, and a consultant on a wide range of issues and for a varied client base. He has participated in several significant surveys, notably, the Democracy Project surveys on democracy since 1998; Afrobarometer supported surveys of public attitudes towards democracy, governance and economic development in Africa since 1999; the SADC Health survey to assess knowledge, attitudes and practices in Botswana, Mauritius, Namibia, Swaziland and the Democratic Republic of Congo; and the PATH and African Youth Alliance (AYA) Botswana project in-school survey supported by UNDP and the Ministry of Education.

He holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Wollongong, Australia.
