Biography

Sipho Kunene has over 14 years of experience with market and social research in Eswatini and the surrounding region. His competencies include research design, project management including coordination of project researcher teams [including the recruitment, training and fees handling of research assistants], Project Logistics Management which includes submitting project costing and budgeting, project reports, transport, communication, survey scheduling, as well as creating and managing a database of respondents for future use. Project Quality Control and client liaison.

Through QA SI (formerly known as activQuest Strategic Information), Mr Kunene has built a strong capacity in survey research design and implementation in general and satisfaction and opinion measure surveys in particular, through various research projects with local and multinational entities. He is proficient in excel databases, statistical data analysis and report writing.  Having worked with public health program monitoring and evaluation at PEPFAR Eswatini and with public opinion polling through the Afrobarometer Survey, Mr Kunene is experienced with indicator calibrations and target setting models, sampling design, and measurement construction and qualitative and quantitative results analysis and reporting.

Sipho Kunene holds a Political Science and Public Administration degree from the University of Swaziland and is currently pursuing a Masters’s degree in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Cape Town.
