Lionel is the Afrobarometer project manager for Francophone Africa, based at the Institute of Research, Innovation and Development (IREG). 

Biography

Lionel is the Afrobarometer project manager for Francophone Africa, based at the Institute of Research, Innovation and Development (IREG). 

In this role, he provides technical and administrative support to Afrobarometer’s Francophone National Partners throughout survey cycles.

Since he joined Afrobarometer in March 2018, he has built extensive experience in research project management, field research (both qualitative and quantitative), and statistical data analysis. 

His research interests focus on African development, democracy, and governance, with particular emphasis on transparency, accountability, and institutionalism.

Lionel holds an MPhil in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon. He also holds a certificate in Statistical Research and Analysis from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a certificate in Applied Statistical Political Research Methods from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, USA.
