Biography

Kathleen Angulo is a seasoned researcher with over 13 years of experience conducting social and public opinion research across the Global South, with extensive work in Mozambique and South America. Her career spans prestigious organizations including Ipsos, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), and partnerships with international institutions such as the World Bank, UNDP, and UNICEF. With a degree in Social Sciences, complemented by a master’s degree in social sciences and specialized training in Public Opinion and Market Intelligence, Kathleen brings a multidisciplinary approach to understanding complex social phenomena.

A passionate advocate for data-driven decision making, Kathleen has successfully led numerous research initiatives that bridge academic rigor with practical implementation. Her expertise includes designing comprehensive methodologies, developing specialized questionnaires, and managing diverse research teams in challenging environments. As Research Manager at Ipsos Mozambique, she oversaw projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables that provided actionable insights for policy development and program enhancement. Currently, she manages agricultural and economic development projects in northern Mozambique, where she focuses on poverty reduction and livelihood restoration initiatives.

Beyond technical expertise, Kathleen is driven by a deep commitment to translating research findings into meaningful social impact. Her experience in project management and implementation, coupled with strong communication skills, allows her to effectively convey complex data narratives to diverse stakeholders, from community leaders to international donors.
