Kamal Yakubu

Kamal Yakubu is Afrobarometer’s capacity building manager (advanced Track).
Biography
In this role, he designs and delivers training initiatives focused on intermediate and advanced data analysis, while supporting outreach to African universities and mentoring early-career researchers. He also plays a key role in developing training toolkits, coordinating fellowships, and fostering analytical capacity within the Afrobarometer network.
Kamal holds a Ph.D. in Development Policy and Practice from the University of Cape Town and has over a decade of experience in teaching and research methodology. Before joining Afrobarometer, he served as a long-time teaching assistant at the Afrobarometer Summer School and consulted on a range of research projects across Africa.
