Charles Amoafo

Biography

Charles Amoafo is a People & Culture coordinator at Afrobarometer with over eight years of experience in human resource management, employee engagement, talent management, performance management, HR operations, and organizational development. His career has included significant experience within Ghana’s healthcare sector, notably with Nyaho Medical Centre and The Bank Hospital, where he has supported people-focused initiatives that contribute to effective teams and positive workplace experiences.

Charles is passionate about building people-centred workplaces where employees feel valued, engaged, and empowered to contribute to organizational success. He is particularly interested in the intersection of people, technology, data, and innovation, and how these can be leveraged to improve HR practices and organizational performance.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), and has professional training in areas including SAP SuccessFactors, HR analytics, Tableau, Power BI, HRIS, competency frameworks, digital marketing and emotional intelligence. He is also a certified AI Prompt Engineer and is currently preparing for the SPHRi certification examination.

Beyond HR, Charles has a keen interest in technology, AI, and creative projects. He enjoys continuous learning and exploring innovative ideas that can create meaningful impact in the workplace and society.
