Biography

Amina Oyagbola, FCIoD, FCIPM, FCIPD, FIMC, ChMC

Amina Oyagbola is a lawyer, independent non-executive director, global human-resources thought leader, gender-equality advocate, author, and business management consultant with more than 40 years of leadership experience in corporate governance, business transformation, and human-capital management.

In addition to chairing the board of directors of Afrobarometer, Africa’s leading independent research network, she is first vice president of the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD) Nigeria, founder and chairperson of WISCAR (Women in Successful Careers), and former human resources and corporate services executive at MTN Nigeria as well as pioneer director of the MTN Foundation.

A Chevening Scholar, she holds degrees from Ahmadu Bello University, the University of Cambridge, and Lancaster University and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, London Business School, and IMD.

A passionate advocate for women’s leadership and board diversity, Amina serves on several corporate and advisory boards and is widely recognised for advancing ethical leadership, corporate governance, and the development of women leaders across Africa.
