Last year saw an increase in demand for, and use of our data and analysis from various stakeholders in Africa and abroad. Notable new avenues for our data included regional and global events such as the African Charter on Democracy, Elections, and Governance, COP27, the 77th United Nations General Assembly, the Obama Foundation Democracy Forum, and the U.S.- Africa Leaders Summit. Leaders and activists from within the continent and around the world have cited our data in public debates and policy discussions.
In 2022, we set a record by successfully completing surveys in 33 countries – the first in our history. As we look to the future, we feel very positive about our mission to make citizen voice a key pillar of Africa policy and decision making.
