Mogopodi Lekorwe is an associate professor of public administration at the University of Botswana, the author of numerous publications, and a participant in several professional fora, research projects, and educational programs. He has been instrumental in launching and catalyzing a number of professional development programs, primarily for public administration within SADC. He has developed and participated in more than 30 executive training programs for the Centre of Public Administration and Management (CESPAM), a regional centre based at the university, where he served as director until March 2012. He holds degrees in politics and administration, a master’s in business administration, and a doctorate in development administration and management.
Prof. Lekorwe is the national investigator for the Afrobarometer project in Botswana and a national partner representative on the network’s Executive Committee. Prof. Lekorwe is also the principal investigator in a research project on the political economy of social protection policy uptake in Africa, a collaborative research undertaken by universities in Tanzania, Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, and Nigeria. He is a senior member of the Democracy Research Project of the University of Botswana.
